It was a quiet day at Lake Chicot yesterday. I sure like visiting beautiful tourist areas in the off-season. We had the place all to ourselves ... almost. Hey! I forgot to post the obligatory 'welcome' sign: And - we crossed the mighty Mississippi to get here. In fact, Lake Chicot is an oxbow lake that, 500 years ago, was part of the river. It is the largest oxbow lake in North America. Here's Dad and Me having our camp coffee in the morning. And our lobster dinner at night: In between, we went for a bike ride. And just sat around camp. Now here's something I wouldn't have seen my Dad doing in camp in the 60s!! Since his laptop has Wi-Fi, he can connect to our Satellite signal and read his email, browse etc. Then there was the sunset. I'm a sucker for sunsets, I just can't leave the camera behind.
