Sicily, ruins, and hot springs

Next day, even more! Beautiful setting for breakfast, then drive off to Agrigento and the valley of the temples. WOW I must be in a dream.

One downer-there were several Classes worth of kids and I couldn't help thinking about the classroom in Uvalde Texas where 19 kids and 2 adults were gunned down in their classroom this week.

This was a field trip of school kids about the age of those who were shot and killed in Uvalde Texas. How gut-wrenching to think that they could all be shot dead in a matter of minutes, and the unimaginable pain of the family left behind. I'm glad these kids live in Italy and not the US.

Back in the car headed north to Castellamare del Golfo. Passing ocean views that rival Big Sur and roads valleys and mountains that rival anywhere.

We settle into our B&B (after getting a bit lost and ending up on a dead end street)
Then we take off for the hot springs!

Terme Segestane $$$ There are also natural hot springs a bit of a hike away, we did not go there.

This large pool was all hot water

We end the day with fish and chips and beer down at the waterfront near the old Norman fort
